Nikey's TPLO surgery

Ah sorry Julie......but ya know after 4 days, Satan is her name! Satan has come to visit, Nikey is excited, I will have to get some pictures of them playing! Proz...well she tolerates her I guess.....I think Proz is still pissed that she can't get in the fridge!!! Satan and Nikey are having a grand time....and we went for our first off leash walk/romp wow...he was awesome, mom was scared, as he ran, but he had sooo much fun...we only did 20 minutes, and then Bruce took Nikey home, and I did another 1/2 hour with Satan and Proz....that was good, wore them out, but damn if today is not another day! (and no Julie, I did not put her in the pen, she went in, and then stopped there whinning, cause she thought she was stuck, you will notice the door is open!!!! she has gone in several times on her on, but doesn't hang out the way Nikey does!)

Not too many pictures, but a nice quiet christmas, there were replacement stuffed toys (blue dog, as Proz had puked on him...long spag and meat sauce story). Big bones....and mmm, not tooo much else...oops if you look closely you can see Proz is destroyed her bone...try and ignore the empty beer cases!!!!

Finally and update....been awhile, I have been lazy...mmm, started this update december 10th...well lets see, Proz got stuck in bathroom, I bought a new fridge, she got into that..Oh yeah, and Nikey.........Nikey is good! We had our 8 week xray and bone was healing well. We had another physio with Nancy and we are doing some weight bearing excercises and will see her again in 3 weeks, and that will be it! He should be "normal" by then. We are doing two 20 minute walks a day, and excercises...he did 1/2 the stairs once, but that is it. I shall pick some lovely pictures, and then try keeping this updated?

woo hoo....Aunt Martha/Uncle John, cousin Sachmo and Zoe sent a gift box for Nikey!!!! wow...treats, a new bear, a kong, and slippers for mom (I thought they might be leg warmers for Nikey)....it was soooo exciting...Nikey loves his bear, Prozack loves to try and steal it!!!

Sorry, no pictures...(again) mom was sick on thursday/friday/saturday, so no pix....altho Sunday we were feeling better and Prozack went to Bruce Pit (no connection with uncle bruce) to meet Sydney (aka Satan)...she had a great time! Sydney's parents commented on Proz losing weight (??? ) and she played and played and played....it was delightful! We will try and go again Monday to the east end park (conroy pit) which is not as big or as nice, but a bit closer)

wow, 3 weeks already...so much to say, and no pictures!!! (kay, found this picture...Nikey likes to grab my shoes and go into his lab cave). We went to chiro today (Dr. Liepmann, see the link) he was impressed with Nikey!!! and Nikey only had 9 adjustments, lowest so far!!!! Everyone was suitably impressed with his prograss, and we saw Nancy (physio) and she said we could start physio right away, so we will be in next week for physio!!! Yeah!!! Nikey got to see lots of his friends on Wednesday at the vets...it was a busy happy time!!!!

woo hoo, Nikey is feeling so much better....yesterday he was trying to hump Prozack...which he has never done (she is alpha) and doing his famous "head butt" to play, it was wonderful..then he gave up, and went for his blanket! Sydney (aka Satan...yellow lab) why did you teach him that???? Anyways, he is good! We (without dogs) went to Petsmart, splurged and bought a telescoping ramp.....Nikey went up and down (okay, so only in the sunken living room) no problem....guess he is getting used to ramps, we will see when we try in the RAV....

Uncle Bruce is here tonight making chicken currie (yum) so we will see how that works out...

wow, 2 weeks today...we got staples out..hence the before after pictures....Dr. Auger (aka Dr. McDreamy) has said he doesn't need conehead anymore! YEAH!!!! He is very happy, but the ramp with the SUV has to be changed, to heavy and pain in the butt....saw x-rays, (meant absolutely nothing) and got the staples out no problem....Nikey wanted to stay!!! Next week is chiro and last shot of cartophen. It was very good today, and vet explained lots.

Well time for an update....I am back at work (ick), Nikey was fine first day alone...Proz just stole baking pan out of sink...not tooo bad....I am posting a couple more pix, as it seems boring without! Proz is outside sniffing the air, and Nikey is in his crate sleeping with conehead on! He is starting to get a lot more energy, and I am afraid soon he might try stairs....Wednesday staples come out and another shot of cort...ah, I ain't going to look it up! anyways, the two pictures are of Nikey looking so cute on futon, and one of Nikey devouring the pig's ear Uncle Leroy brought in (thank you uncle leroy)...
